4 Send the fonts to the printer’s hard disk.

 If your PC and printer are connected through the parallel port,

5 When the downloading is complete, reboot the printer.

When installing a font SIMM, such as the ProCollection SIMM, with

your printer’s standard 8 MB of RAM you must do one of the following:

 Add more printer memory. This memory will also improve perfor-

mance because additional memory is allocated to font caching.

See chapter 2, “Memory and System Software” the “Single In-

Line Memory Modules” section for information on installing addi-

tional memory.
